Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite or Kaká, as he is affectionately known, signed a contract in the summer of 2009 allowing him to transfer from AC Milan to Real Madrid. The fee reported to be about £56 million, was a new world record at the time, surpassing the the previous record signing of £45.6 million that Real paid for Zinedine Zidane in 2001.
Whether he is worth that much is debatable, but what's not, is the fact that Kaka is a very good attacking midfielder. At 27 years old he has pace, height and a lethal right foot capable of scoring a goal from 25 yards out. He won the 2007 Ballon d'Or and was also voted the 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year.
